Three states in the coldest trip I made on the Appalachian Trail, with 85 miles from NY 52 (Stormville) to Shay’s Rebellion Monument (Great Barrington, MA). The calendar said it was spring, but they hadn’t gotten the memo. I saw temperatures down to 19 degrees and was cold a lot of the time. It includes camping at Telephone Pioneers Shelter, Ten Mile River, Stewart’s Hollow, Belter’s Camp, and Sage’s Ravine.
